Thanks to a 34:29 win at HC Erlangen, SG Flensburg-Handewitt is back in second place in the DAIKIN HBL table, at least for one night. The sound bites.
Benjamin Burić, SG keeper: "The two points are very important in the battle for the Champions League places. We showed character after Tuesday's game against Kiel. The game wasn't quite what we had imagined. From the very first minute, we demonstrated what we intend to do in defense. We only got into the flow in attack after 20 minutes. We continued to score easy goals after the break. It was the first time this year that we didn't have any problems in the second half. We're on the right track."
Marek Nissen, HCE backcourt player: "Losing by five goals at home to Flensburg is actually quite alright. However, we can't be completely satisfied with our performance. If you want to win against the SG, everything has to be right. We had quite a few good solutions, but left too much to chance at the end."
