The SG Flensburg-Handewitt and Kent Robin Tønnesen are continuing their successful collaboration. The Norwegian backcourt player has extended his contract with the SG - initially for a further year, with an option for an additional season.
Tønnesen moved to Flensburg in the summer of 2025 and has quickly established himself as an important part of the team. With his experience, vision and scoring threat, the 33-year-old is a reliable factor at the back for the SG. "Kent has shown right from the start how valuable he is to us - both on and off the pitch," said SG CEO Holger Glandorf, who is delighted with the overtime. "His experience, calmness and professionalism are hugely beneficial to the team. We are very happy that we can continue to count on him."
Head coach Ales Pajovic adds: "Kent is an absolute team player. He works with great focus, brings stability to our game and helps the team with his experience. His overtime is a strong sign for our development together." Kent Robin Tønnesen is also positive about the future. "I feel very comfortable at SG - the environment, the fans and the atmosphere here are something special. We still have a lot of plans as a team and I'm looking forward to continuing my journey with the SG."
