A few more minutes - and the SG Flensburg-Handewitt would probably have won in Lemgo. So the anger over a botched first half remained. The sound bites.
Aleš Pajović, SG coach: "A handball game doesn't last 30, but 60 minutes. We made eight technical mistakes in the first half and missed too many chances - that was a disaster. We should have been present from the very first minute. We were aware of our defensive defenses and should have been more dangerous. We only opened up the game better in the second half. In a week's time against Berlin, we have to do really well right from the start."
Domen Novak, SG right wing (at the break): "We put ourselves in this situation. Two missed seven-meter penalties push a good opponent even more. We made too many technical mistakes and conceded goals on the counter-attack as a result. It's difficult now, but we'll try everything."
Niels Versteijnen, TBV left-handed shooter: "It's not normal what's happening at the moment. We've now won against two very strong opponents within a short space of time. We should enjoy the moment. We've got a great squad that's a lot of fun to play with and everyone knows their role well."
