SG Flensburg-Handewitt have not only reached the main round of the EHF European League, they have now been unbeaten in this competition for 21 games. The sound bites.
Aleš Pajović, SG coach: "The bottom line is that the two points are important. We didn't play optimally in the first half. But I was never worried that we wouldn't win the game. We stepped up the pace in the second half, exerted a bit more pressure and were stronger in defense. Of course we have to praise our goalkeeper Kevin Møller. He was outstanding and saved us in many situations."
Kevin Møller, SG goalkeeper: "Saint-Raphael is no place for an easy win. That's why I'm very happy that we took two points back to Flensburg. Saint-Raphael's goalkeeper also made a lot of saves and played his part in making it so tight in the first half. It's always nice when you can help your own team like that. We're not worrying about what will happen against Irun just yet. First comes the tough game against Gummersbach."
Patrick Volz, SG left wing: "I'm super happy that we got two points. We knew it would be a difficult game. It was really nice that we had so many spectators away from home who supported us so well. We left too much to chance in the first half. We weren't consistent enough and invited Saint-Raphael to score a few goals when we pulled back. We simply did better in the second half: even more focused and tougher in defense. I'm pleased that I put in a decent performance myself and was able to help the team."
