It was a rollercoaster of emotions. In the end, however, it was clear that SG Flensburg-Handewitt had reached the quarter-finals of the EHF European League, where they will face TSV Hannover-Burgdorf on April 29 and May 5. The sound bites.
Lasse Møller, SG backcourt ace: "We came out of the tough game in Hannover and were immediately at 100 percent. Our performance over 60 minutes was actually okay, but we had a few lows in the game. We shouldn't dwell on the result for long, because the next tough game awaits us shortly."
Johan Hansen, SAH right wing and former SG player: "The six-goal deficit was a heavy burden. But we managed to get a good result in Flensburg. The SG were forced to play with their first back line until the end. We gained confidence for the Danish league play-offs. I was surprised to get so much back from the crowd before the game. It was a very nice moment."
Aleš Pajović, SG coach: "We didn't want to count on the six-goal lead, but wanted to show a good game - and that over 60 minutes. We largely had everything under control in the first half, but we weren't 100 percent at the start of the second. It bothers me that we didn't win this home game. We always want to show our best side in front of our fans. But we're not looking back so much now. The most important thing is that we're through to the next round - and there are no new injuries."
