SC Magdeburg was Saturday, now it's all about AHC Potaissa Turda at the SG. A club that is traveling to Germany for the first time ever for an official match and already has its back to the wall in EHF European League Season A. After three games in a row, only a win in "Hell North" will help them to keep their theoretical chances of progressing. The SG naturally wants to prevent that. A win would secure their place in the main round if Saint-Raphael VAR pick up at least one point in Irun in the parallel tie. However, Aleš Pajović wants more than just a "must-win", more than the 33:26 in Turda a week ago. "That wasn't ideal," said the SG coach. "I want to see more focus, we have to present ourselves better."
Tight schedule
Sunday was used for regeneration, with the final training session scheduled for Tuesday. Little time for preparation, but at least no traveling. "With two home games in a row, we can't complain about the schedule," says SG captain Johannes Golla. AHC Potaissa Turda also had a game on Saturday, beating CSM Bucharest 30:27 in the Romanian league. They obviously do not have high hopes of a coup in Flensburg. "Our opponents are superior to us and have much more experience than we do," said long-time AHC coach Horatiu Gal, while his colleague Aleš Pajović is hoping for a good start to the game and wants to use the full breadth of his squad. The SG already has to face MT Melsungen on Friday.
