The SG Flensburg-Handewitt will have to do without Lasse Møller for the next few weeks. The Danish backcourt player suffered a fracture of his right metacarpus in the EHF European League match against IRUDEK Bidasoa Irun. The diagnosis was confirmed after detailed examinations in Flensburg on Wednesday. As things stand at present, surgery is not necessary, but Møller will not be available to the team for several weeks.
"We are very sorry for Lasse," said SG CEO Holger Glandorf. "He was in very good shape and has played an important role in our team in recent weeks. Such a loss is of course extremely bitter - especially in a phase with a high workload and many games. Now we have to come even closer together as a team and overcome the situation together."
