- Many SG players on their national teams

Honorable jersey change

The SG Flensburg-Handewitt will only be cooking on a low flame for a few days. The reason: most of the players are away for their national teams. For them, the change of jersey is always associated with the great honor of playing for their country.

The DHB men's team is coming to the south for two international matches. On Thursday in Nuremberg and on Sunday in Munich, the team of national coach Alfred Gislason will face Iceland. In addition to captain Johannes Golla, two other current SG players have been among the permanent fixtures in recent times: Marko Grgić and Luca Witzke. However, the latter is suffering from a shoulder injury and was not considered for the training course this time. "It's always nice to travel to the national team," said Johannes Golla. "We have two interesting games ahead of us - against individually strong opponents."

Danes and Slovenians
World champions Denmark will face the hosts, the Netherlands and the Faroe Islands at the Golden League tournament in Trondheim, Norway. In addition to Kevin Møller, Emil Jakobsen, Niclas Kirkeløkke, Simon Pytlick and Lukas Jørgensen, Lasse Møller was also originally nominated. However, he had to withdraw due to injury. Slovenia will face Serbia for a test. "It's always a nice change to see old friends," enthuses Domen Novak. "We have a great atmosphere in the team."
