The SG Flensburg-Handewitt finished the group phase of the EHF European League with 12:0 points. They will continue on the European stage on February 17th - with the main round. The sound bites.
Aleš Pajović, SG coach: "We didn't always play outstandingly in the EHF European League, but we achieved our goal: we go into the main round with four points. There we'll face Kiel and Montpellier, which will be much tougher. But that's not until next year. For now, we're only interested in Lemgo. We didn't get off to a good start against Irun and needed a while to find our feet. At half-time, we talked about what we needed to do better."
Simon Pytlick, SG backcourt ace: "Before the game in Lemgo, we wanted to put in a really good performance. We didn't quite manage it, we had a few problems. But it was good enough over the 60 minutes."
Johannes Golla, SG captain: "We missed a few chances at the start, were immediately a bit behind and had to fight our way back into the game. Our coach Pajo said a few good words at half-time. Then we were a bit better in defense and Kevin made more saves. All in all, it was hard work."
