- SG is on its way to Romania

Three days for one game

Once again, the SG Flensburg-Handewitt has to deal with a tight schedule. They have already started their next away game. On Tuesday at 6.45 p.m., they want to collect points five and six in the EHF European League at AHC Potaissa Turda.

The trip to Romania began shortly before eight o'clock on Monday morning at the Handewitter Wikinghalle. This early start dampened the winning mood a little after the 33:29 victory over HSV Hamburg. "We have to approach the task professionally," said Lukas Jørgensen. "We don't want to give up a single point in the preliminary round so that we can go into the main round with four points, where we expect to face Montpellier and Kiel." The team will travel via Hamburg and Warsaw to Cluj, which is only about an hour away from Turda. On Wednesday, they will return via the same stops. The club AHC Potaissa is currently in third place in the Romanian league. They celebrated a win against champions Dinamo Bucharest. On the other hand, there were defeats against league leaders Buzau and in Timisoara.

It will be difficult without 100 percent
Aleš Pajović has already spent a lot of time with AHC Potaissa Turda during the international break. "The players are very physical, but the style of play is not as fast as that of St. Raphael and Irun," explained the SG coach. "We saw against the other two teams that we have a hard time if we're not at 100 percent." SG have won both games by narrow margins so far. Turda, on the other hand, lost unhappily 33:34 against Irun and collapsed 24:42 in St. Raphael. The SG definitely wants to win in Romania, but is also hoping for a good performance - to confirm the current flow. Preparations for the top match against SC Magdeburg begin on Thursday. With the exception of Lasse Møller and Emil Jakobsen (stress management), all players will be in Romania. Youngster Jonas Rhitaphorn has traveled with them as a second left winger alongside Patrick Volz.
