Records for a Season

During the 2025–26 season, SG Flensburg-Handewitt played 53 competitive matches, 34 of which were in the DAIKIN HBL. Here are the statistical highlights from the past few months.

Largest home wins. In the EHF European League, the team secured a 46–28 victory over AHC Potaissa Turda (November 18). In that game, Marko Grgić scored the 50,000th goal in SG history. In the DAIKIN HBL, they defeated MT Melsungen 40–30 (April 24). 

Home losses. The SG suffered only two home defeats: a 31–35 loss to SC Magdeburg in the DAIKIN HBL (November 15) and a 30–32 loss to THW Kiel in the EHF European League (February 17).

Biggest road win. On October 4, the SG won 42–24 at SC DHfK Leipzig.

Biggest away loss. At the start of the second half of the season, on February 10, the SG lost 26–33 at VfL Gummersbach.

The highest-scoring game. A total of 81 goals were scored on June 7 in Berlin. At the end of the season, despite a strong start, the SG ultimately fell 38–43.

The lowest-scoring games. The SG’s games were generally high-scoring affairs. On September 4, 58 goals were scored as the SG had to settle for a 29–29 draw against TBV Stuttgart.

Longest unbeaten streak. It wasn’t until their 17th competitive match, on November 15, that the SG suffered its first loss. After two draws to start the season, the team went on a 14-game winning streak across all competitions before losing to SC Magdeburg.

Longest streak without a win. Between May 21 and May 30, the SG went winless in three matches: 30–31 in Magdeburg, 33–37 in Stuttgart, and 30–37 against Melsungen.

Players Used. A total of 21 players donned the SG jersey last season, including five young players and new signing Adin Faljić.

Most Appearances. Johannes Golla and Niclas Kirkeløkke were the SG’s most reliable players, just as they were last season. The captain played in every game—53 in total—while the left-hander appeared in 52.

Most goals in a single game. On March 14, Lasse Møller scored 14 goals. His team still lost 33–27 to THW Kiel.
