FOERDE HALL
For ten years – from 1991 until November 2001 – the Förde Hall was the home of the SG Flensburg-Handewitt. In this hall, almost a half of a million spectators witnessed the development of a once second-league team into one of Europe’s top clubs. The highpoint: the EHF-Cup victory in 1997. Since the team moved to the Campus Arena, things have been quiet in the 3,500-seat Förde Hall. In addition to the Jacob-Cement-Cup 2002 and 2003, the hall has only hosted the Cup quarterfinal match against Gummersbach (2004) and the Champion’s League match against Metkovic (October 2004).
