Handball has long become a year-round sport. Between the SG's final game and the preparation for the new season, starting on 16 July, are only 44 days.
When Ljubomir Vranjes starts preparing with his team, Tobias Karlsson and some of the Danish players will not be in Flensburg. "The games end on 12 August, on 13 August they'll be back in practice," the SG coach says. The other players will go to southern Sweden in late July for a training camp and some games. One of these games will be playet against IFK Kristianstad, coached by Ola Lindgren.
The bigger test games are scheduled for mid-August. The Jacob Cement Cup is on 18 August, a game organised by hummel will be played on 11 August and KIF Kolding will be the opponent on 15 August. Two days later, the SG takes part in the "Unser Norden"-Cup, playing against THW Kiel and AaB Aalborg.
After reaching the cup final, the SG will play against THW Kiel once more in the super cup in Munich (21 August). Four days later, the first home game will take place at Campushalle and the first two away games are in Hamburg and Kiel.
