The SG Flensburg-Handewitt and Caja3 BM Aragon both finished last season in sixth place in their respective leagues. On Sunday (3pm), the fans at Campushalle will be part of another clash between teams from the Bundesliga and the Liga Asobal in the semifinal of the European Cup Winner's Cup. The second leg will be played on 28 April at Zaragoza in the northeast of Spain.
The SG has played 15 games in Spain but never at Aragon. In December 2003, two clubs merged to create BM Aragon. "I'm looking forward to returning to Spain," SG coach Ljubomir Vranjes said. He has played for Granollers, a city close to Barcelona. "I expect two close games against a very good team. Aragon has earned to be in the semifinal and they want to reach the final, too."
